Piccione & Migliorino Endowed Faculty Funds

Phil Piccione and Jean Migliorino have proudly proclaimed, "We enjoy helping the University accomplish its goals."

The couple recognizes that top faculty members produce excellence in teaching and in research. To that end, the couple established two endowed faculty awards, the Col. Jean M. Migliorino and Lt. Col. Philip J. Piccione Faculty Award for Research Excellence in the College of Business Administration and the Col. Jean M. Migliorino and Lt. Col. Philip J. Piccione 1951 Commemorative Endowed Nursing Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence in the College of Nursing.

The couple's belief in helping UL Lafayette doesn't end with these awards, however, as they have also established endowed professorships and endowed scholarships to further assist outstanding professors and students. Additionally, the couple has made provisions in their will to provide bequests for the University, and both are Charter Members of the Louisiana Heritage Society™, for being planned giving donors.

Most recently, Mr. Piccione completed a gift commitment that established a $1 million Endowed Chair in Statistics. This Chair will serve as a companion to an existing Computational Mathematics Chair, the latter of which was donated by Centennial Campaign co-chairs Clay Allen, Bill Fenstermaker, and Matt Stuller, and named in honor of Dr. Ray Authement.
